#CCU AD Matt Hogue is gearing up for his next professional challenge (AUDIO)

Coastal Carolina athletics director Matt Hogue has overseen tremendous growth during his years leading the Chanticleer athletic department. From a 2016 national championship in baseball to the transition from FCS to FBS-level football, Hogue has been at the forefront of mammoth growth along the beach. Now, he’ll be returning to his roots and accepting a new challenge on campus. The former “voice” of the Chanticleers will lead the new academic center devoted to training the next generation of sports broadcasters inside the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. He’ll remain Coastal’s AD until July 15th and finish out his service as chairman of the D1 baseball selection committee.

Hogue was a guest of SportsTalk recently, and he detailed his new role with CCU. He also discussed the changing landscape of college athletics and looked ahead to the upcoming NCAA baseball tournament.
