Coastal Carolina athletics has gained some national publicity the past couple of days, and not because the baseball team is playing well or football is set to wrap up spring practice on Saturday. It has everything to do with free food.

The plan initially faced skepticism as the rollout took place a day before April 1st. However, once the reality of CCU’s generosity was apparent, the news spread across the country. From television personalities like Pat McAfee to Savannah Bananas owner Jesse Cole, it seems everyone was on board with the idea.
CCU athletics director Chance Miller joined SportsTalk on Wednesday to elaborate on his brainchild and how exactly things will work this fall at Brooks Stadium in Conway.
