#STRecruiting: Swinney recaps #Clemson Signing Day (AUDIO)

Dabo Swinney addressed the media, Wednesday, to share his thoughts on Clemson’s early signees. Swinney expressed excitement over having 15 mid-year enrollees among the signees and having “seven or eight” that will be able to join the team during their bowl preparation.

Clemson clearly added to its offensive-line depth with the class, bringing in four signees to join seven returning linemen. Swinney also heaped praise on placekicker Nolan Hauser, whom Swinney labeled as the nation’s best high school kicker, and linebacker Sammy Brown. Swinney said, “Sammy’s ‘a dude,’ we all know that,” adding that Brown is a powerlifting champion, wrestling champion and excelled at both linebacker and running back in his high school career.

When questioned about addressing speed at the wide receiver position, Swinney was quick to note that there is plenty of speed already on the roster with Antonio Williams, Cole Turner and Adam Randall, but injuries had affected those players’ opportunities to showcase their abilities. Swinney did say, however, that he’s excited about what receivers TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco will bring to the group, referring to them as “athletic, ball hawks.”
