  • Boston College led 15-11 with 12:36 left in the first half, and then Nick Davidson happened. It started with a simple hook shot and ended with a three-pointer at the 2:42 mark. Davidson scored what is a program record 21 straight points to give the Tigers a 32-24 lead.
  • Longtime former Clemson SID Tim Bourret said 17 points by Hunter Tyson against NC State in 2022 was the previous longest streak on record.
  • During his run, Davidson hit four triples, had a three-point play, a dunk and he blocked a shot for good measure.
  • Clemson rode the momentum created by Davidson to a 37-27 halftime lead. They outscored the Eagles 9-2 to open the second half with RJ Godfrey contributing seven points.
  • The lead eventually hit 25 points with 8:07 remaining as the Tigers went through an 8-11 shooting stretch that included a pair of three-pointers.
  • Clemson finished at 46% for the night, including eight triples, and the Tigers were 16-23 from the line.
  • Clemson forced 19 turnovers they converted to 24 points, while BC had just three points off of turnovers.
  • The Tigers also had 10 offensive rebounds they converted into 12 points.
  • Davidson finished with a season high 25 points, one off of his career high. Before his 21 straight points, the high this season for consecutive points was nine by Carter Welling.
  • Fred Payne led BC with 20 points, but leading scorer Donald Hand Jr. was held scoreless in 31 minutes.
  • Clemson is now 15-3 and 5-0 in the ACC. It’s the best ACC start for the Tigers since going 7-0 to open league play in 2023. The Tigers will host Miami on Saturday afternoon.
