2021 RB Will Shipley of Weddington, NC talked Tuesday with USC RB coach Thomas Brown. USC has offered. He will talk Wednesday with Clemson RB coach Tony Elliott. He camped at Clemson and the call could center on an offer from the Tigers.

CB Jahquez Robinson of Jacksonville has been committed to Alabama since February but his recruiting remains live, and as soon as the dead period ends next week, he plans to take an official visit to USC. Robinson and his parents plan to visit the Gamecocks July 24-26. He attended a Will Muschamp camp in June

Clemson offered 2021 DE Cade Denhoff (6-5 225) of Lakeland, FL. WR Ruben Jackson of Belle Glade, FL said he will visit Clemson July 28th. He also visited in late March.

6-9 PJ Hall of Dorman will play in his final AAU event this weekend in Los Angeles. After that, he’ll be ready to concentrate on picking the college he will sign with in November. With that in mind, Hall plans to announce Friday his final five schools, and those will be the ones to get

2021 DE Dylan Brooks of Roanoke, AL released a list of the 15 schools he’s focused on at this point in his recruiting. LB Devyn Curtis (6-2 220) of Brentwood, TN made an unofficial visit to USC last season for a game, and he was back on campus in late June with his seven-on-seven team during which time he got a closer look at the facilities and the Gamecock coaches got a closer look at him. Curtis wants

USC RB commitment Marshawn Lloyd was quoted earlier this month at The Opening saying Georgia was still coming hard after him and he planned to visit Athens for the Notre Dame game. USC target WR Deajaun McDougle of Deerfield Beach, FL has set his commitment date for July 30th. He plans to name his top five July 20th. Previously he listed USC, Ohio State, Purdue, Maryland and Oregon as his top list.

USC missed earlier this week on top defensive end target Myles Murphy of Greensboro, NC, but another of the Gamecocks’ top targets at defensive end, Derrell Bailey (6-5 246) of Greenback, TN, has set a visit for later this month. And he plans to make his decision a few days after that visit.

One of the top undeclared grad transfers in the country is former Clemson RB Tavien Feaster.  The Spartanburg native is finishing up his summer schoolwork so that he can graduate in August with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
