One of the top targets for South Carolina offensive line coaches Randy Clements and Jason Smith is Will Endicott (6-4 280) of Prosper, TX. The Gamecocks and others have been recruiting him as a center.
Endicott made spring visits to USC, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. He’s now concentrating on his own spring practice, so recruiting visits are over until he takes his official visits in June.
Endicott visited the Gamecocks the weekend of March 21st, and since then, Clements and Smith have stayed in his ear.
“Me and Coach Clem stay in contact with texts and calls. Same thing with Coach Smith,” Endicott said. “I’m in a group chat with the offensive staff for the official visit. Just been communicating pretty frequently. Every week, it’s either phone calls or texts.”
Endicott came out of his USC visit feeling good about the Gamecocks and elevated them into a top spot on his list. The idea of committing back then flashed through his mind, but he wanted to hold off, and Clements and Smith continue to respect his position on that.
“They are definitely talking to me a lot, but I don’t feel necessarily forced or pushed to make a commitment,” Endicott said. “I really do like the communication that’s going on between us. South Carolina is still at the top of my list. One of the top schools there. They are still at the top in that pool with other schools. I’m considering South Carolina, Kansas, SMU, and Oklahoma State.”
Endicott has set official visits to USC for June 5th and Kansas for June 12th. At this point, he said, following the Kansas visit, he should be ready to make his decision. However, he may set official visits with Oklahoma State and SMU and check them out before making the call.
