South Carolina and Clemson did not make the cut for OL Maxwell Hiller. He announced his short list over the weekend, and he’s down to Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and Ohio State. He was strongly recruited by the Gamecocks and Tigers. He had an official visit set with the Gamecocks, but he has scratched that. He has set officials with Alabama, Tennessee and Florida at this point. He had camped at USC and Clemson, and he had made multiple visits to USC dating back to 2024.
South Carolina target QB Jerry Meyer lll decommitted from TCU late last week. Meyer is a native of Texas and was recruited by TCU by current USC OC/QB coach Kendal Briles. He was scheduled for a visit to Columbia in January, but the weather forced a postponement. He also has offers from Arkansas, Houston, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Pitt, SMU, and Texas Tech. In his career, Meyer has passed for 8000 yards and 115 touchdowns.
South Carolina target QB Ty Knutson (6-3 202) of Spring Branch, TX, committed to Texas. He had the Gamecocks and Oklahoma State also on his short list. The Gamecocks offered on January 21st.
South Carolina offered OL Will Endicott (6-4 286) of Prosper, TX. He also has offers from Kansas State, Kansas, SMU, UTSA and North Texas.
South Carolina offered OL Owen Reilly (6-4 290) of Bel Air, MD. He also has offers from Penn State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Oregon, Rutgers, UConn, Coastal Carolina, West Virginia and others.
South Carolina target 2028 6-6 Mason Collins of Delaware was offered by Villanova after visiting for a game Thursday night. USC was his first offer, and his mom is Director of Operations for the USC women.
QB Jayce Johnson of Valdosta, GA, who was reoffered by South Carolina in January after Kendal Briles came on board, has set an official visit to Texas A&M for May 29th. He’s been committed to the Aggies since August.
South Carolina target LB Brandon Lockley of Philadelphia has scheduled an official visit with Alabama for May 29th. He’s down for Duke the following weekend and Nebraska the weekend after that.
