South Carolina quarterback commitment Landon Duckworth had not signed as of first thing Wednesday morning, and Rivals analyst Steve Wiltfing reported a projection for Duckworth to break his pledge to Shane Beamer and sign instead with new LSU coach Lane Kiffin. Duckworth originally committed to the Gamecocks in 2023, decommitted in 2024 and committed to them again in July. He later reaffirmed that commitment in November.
Dutch Fork DE Julian Walker will not sign until Thursday. No time has been given, and no formal ceremony is expected. The long-time Michigan commitment is also strongly considering South Carolina and is working on a decision between the two..
SAF Kaden Gebhardt, who had been committed to Clemson since March, announced his decommitment late Wednesday morning and signed with Ohio State.
One-time USC target and long-time Maryland commitment DE Zion Elee signed with the Terps.
AC Flora CB Azel Banag signed with Oregon. His father played at USC, and his teammate there was Chris Hampton, who is the secondary coach and co-Defensive Coordinator at Oregon. He was originally committed to Harvard. He also had offers from Georgia Tech, Duke, Wisconsin and Northwestern.
Woodland DE Jaemin Pinckney (6-5 220), who had been committed to USF, signed with Florida State.
