The USC football team staged their first major scrimmage of the spring last Saturday. It was a 115 play exercise that Shane Beamer said elicited good plays and bad plays in all three phases. Beamer did not report any major injuries coming from the scrimmage. The Gamecocks are scheduled to practice again Thursday and then the team will be off for the Easter holiday.
