USC has made the top six with CB Jayden Lewis of Anniston, AL. The others are Tennessee, Florida State, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Auburn. Lewis also has offers from Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt. He camped last summer with the Gamecocks. During the season he made visits to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee.
TheBigSpur and GamecockCentral are reporting there are academic issues with DE Trajan Jeffcoat transferring to USC from Missouri, and the transfer may not take place now. Tuesday is the last day for a student to start semester classes at USC.
TE Michael Smith of Savannah tells Rivals he’s down to USC, Tennessee, Ohio State and Arkansas for his commitment announcement January 24th.
USC will hold their major junior day gathering of prospects this Saturday, and WR Amari Jefferson of Chattanooga plans to attend. He is scheduled to visit Kentucky the next weekend. Jefferson committed to Tennessee for baseball and has been holding to that. Tennessee has also offered him for football. His coach is former USC assistant and quarterback Erik Kimrey. Last season Jefferson caught 72 passes for 1370 yards and 17 touchdowns and was named 1st team All-State. He has an extensive offer list at this point.
OT Mike Williams (6-7 315) of Upper Marlboro, MD plans to visit USC this coming Saturday and said his teammate, CB Cayden Lee, will also be in. Williams has not yet been offered by the Gamecocks.
CB Emanuel Brown of Georgia Military JC and Brookland-Cayce plans to visit USC January 21st. He’s a May graduate with 3 years to play and has a PWO opportunity with the Gamecocks.
Memphis transfer WR Eddie Lewis, who visited USC over the weekend, posted on Instagram that he was at Colorado Sunday.
TE Shamar Easter, who took an official visit to USC in December, announced Sunday he is sticking with his commitment to Arkansas.
USC target WR Elijah Caldwell of Northwestern did take his official visit to NC State over the weekend. He is expected to visit USC one of the next two weekends.
Clemson is in the top seven with DT Champ Thompson of Norcross, GA. The others are Georgia, Georgia, Tech, Ole Miss, Florida State, Penn State and Miami.
Clemson QB target Walker White (6-3 210) was offered by Miami. Clemson had already been recruiting him before Garrett Riley was hired, and Riley offered him while he was at TCU.
Clemson target OT Blake Frazier plans to visit Texas this weekend. He was at Penn State this past weekend.
USC offered 2025 OT Maki Stewart (6-5 290) of Long Beach, CA.
Greenville WR Mazeo Bennett took a visit to Alabama Saturday. He was also offered by Texas A&M.
USC and Clemson target WR Terrance Moore of Tampa was offered by Southern Cal, Ohio State and Florida.
Lexington RB Jonah Norris, Woodland OL James Moseley and Sumter OL Mason Gregg committed to Newberry.
PF Ace Bailey of Powder Springs, GA, who had USC in his top 12, committed to Rutgers.
5-6 Jaloni Cambridge of Nashville, ranked #1 in the 2024 class by ESPN, took an official visit to USC over the weekend.
Westside OF Elijah Grant committed to USC for the 2024 class.
