#STRecruiting Notebook 11-14

Greenville High WR Tyler Brown (6-0 180) has played this season in the shadow of his more heralded teammate 2024 WR Mazeo Bennett, a Tennessee commitment. But Brown is carving out his own reputation this season as the Red Raiders have reached the third round of the playoffs. His reputation in recruiting circles is also on the rise. Saturday Brown, a former Minnesota commitment, picked up his biggest offer yet from Clemson. Tigers receivers coach Tyler Grisham started to recruit Brown in earnest a few weeks ago. He was in for a recent game and the relationship has now reached the point of an offer. Brown also picked up recent offers from Northwestern and Georgia Tech. He’s also been offered by Eastern Michigan, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Appalachian State among others. Brown has also visited Virginia Tech for a game this season. On the season thru 12 games, Brown has 45 catches for 793 yards and 12 touchdowns according to MaxPreps. For his career, he has 134 catches for 2357 yards and 32 touchdowns.

  • 2025 LB Braxtyn Davies of Newnan, GA
  • 2026 LB Brysen Davies of Newman, GA

USC and Clemson are in the top 12 with 2024 DT Malik Blockton of Pike Road, AL The others are Arkansas, Arizona State, Auburn, Missouri, Jackson State, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland and Tennessee.

ATH Suderian Harrison of Woodland was offered by Coastal Carolina and set an official visit to Louisville for this weekend. He also has an official visit set with Virginia for December.

One-time Clemson and USC target DE Rico Walker of Hickory, NC is back on the market after decommitting from North Carolina. Auburn, Florida, Tennessee and Maryland completed his top five when he committed in July.

2024 6-4 Cam Scott of Lexington made his official visit to Auburn over the weekend. That was his second official visit. The first was to USC last month. He is scheduled for an official visit to Texas in two weeks and an unofficial visit to Duke November 30th. He’s also planning to take an official visit to Florida State.
