MLB Draft 2022: Draftees with South Carolina Ties & Braves Draft Selections (Complete)

The state of South Carolina has been well represented in the amateur baseball draft

With the All-Star break approaching, MLB is providing fans with plenty to talk about as the amateur draft begins. The three-day event began on Sunday and wrapped up on Tuesday. The complete draft of players with South Carolina ties and the selections of the “World Champion” Atlanta Braves can be found below.

Clemson and USC Recruits:

Clemson prospect Brock Porter goes in the fourth round to the Texas Rangers with a slot value of $560K. Kendall Rogers of D1 baseball believes Porter will end up at Clemson unless Texas, “goes way over slot”.

RHP Jacob Zibin, USC commitment, was selected in the 10th round by Cleveland. He reclassified from 2023 so he would be eligible for this draft and is expected to sign a pro contract.
