Clemson (8-1) held its position at no. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings released, Tuesday. The Tigers are looking to make a sixth consecutive trip to the four-team playoff and a run for a fourth national title. The top seven positions were unchanged with Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State holding the other spots in the top four. Coastal Carolina (9-0) improved by two slots to 18th following a 49-14 victory over Texas State.
