An upbeat and chatty Will Muschamp met with the media Sunday night for his weekly conference call to review the weekend, and he obviously was very happy with what he saw on film of his team in the win over Auburn Saturday. Muschamp loved the effort, the focus and the intensity of his players to fight from behind to knock off a nationally ranked team for the second straight season. Now his hope is to build on that good play with a similiar effort Saturday night at LSU.
Some of Muschamp’s key comments:
- Loved how team battles all game, great team win. Played well up front on offense. Ran more on 2nd half. Red zone defense outstanding.
- Changed up some pass rushes in 2nd half and that helped to contain Nix.
- Turnetine did some good things at left tackle.
- Thinks they have their best five on OL out there now.
- John Dixon played very well at corner in place of Mukuamu. Cam Smith got cleated on back of heel in practice, treated for possible infection.
- LB Spencer Eason-Riddle suffered another torn ACL.
- Thought Fenwick had his best game running behind his pads.
