Clemson’s search for a 2021 quarterback, among the elite in the class, has proved fruitless to this point. Monday the Tigers were cut from the list of 5-star Caleb Williams of Washington, DC. He announced he is down to Oklahoma, Maryland and LSU. Williams is rated the #1 dual-threat quarterback in the country. He visited Clemson for a game last season and returned for a junior day in January. Oklahoma has long been considered the overall favorite.

LB Danny Stutsman, who had an offer from USC, committed to Oklahoma.

6-3 Rob McCray of AC Flora has picked up offers from Wake Forest, Winthrop, Coastal Carolina and Old Dominion.

Myrtle Beach WR JJ Jones named a top 5 of USC, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi State. Among those not making the short list from his offers were Louisville, Florida State, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Indiana, Duke, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, NC State, Michigan and Kansas State. Jones has taken unofficial visits to USC, North Carolina and Tennessee. He is rated a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite, and is ranked 84th nationally among receivers and the #4 prospect in South Carolina. Last season he had 40 catches for 654 yards and 14 touchdowns. Jones also is a standout on the Myrtle Beach basketball team.

WR Malachi Bennett (6-2 180) of Fairfield, AL named his top eight and USC is in the group. The others are Texas A&M, Ole Miss, UAB, Louisville, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky. Bennett is rated a three-star in the 247Sports Composite. He’s ranked #60 nationally at receiver and the #12 prospect in Alabama.

USC is in the top 15 with 4-star DT Tim Keenan (6-1 340) of Birmingham. The others are Ole Miss,LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Nebraska, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Maryland, Florida State, Georgia Tech and UAB.

USC the top 20 with 2022 DE Enai White of Philadelphia. The others are Alabama,, Georgia, Texas A&M,Texas, Tennessee, Washington, Michigan, Notre Dame, Kentucky, LSU, Pitt, Southern Cal, Penn State, Miami, Arizona State, Maryland, Oklahoma and Ole Miss. He’s the #1 rated player in Pennsylvania for the 2022 class.

USC offered 2022 RB Chase Gillespie of Tallahassee. Some of his other offers are Georgia Tech, Kansas, Texas Tech, Kansas State, West Virginia, Coastal Carolina, Troy FAU, FIU and USF.

USC offered 2022 LB Xavier Simmons of Greensboro, NC. That’s his first offer.

USC is among the offers for 2023 DL Peter Woods (6-4 250) of Alabaster, AL. Some of his other offers are Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, Southern Cal, Penn State and LSU.

USC offered 2023 OL Chase Bisontis (6-5 275) of Ramsey, NJ. Some other offers are Penn State, Miami, Maryland, Rutgers, Tennessee, West Virginia, Kansas and Boston College.

USC target TE Elijah Arroyo of Frisco, TX committed to Miami.

SAF West Weeks of Watkinsville, GA, who had a USC offer, committed to Virginia.

SAF De’Shawn Rucker of Tallahassee, who has Clemson and USC offers, committed to Tennessee.

RB Cody Brown of LIlburn, GA, who has a USC offer, committed to Tennessee.

USC target 3-star OL Weston Franklin of Jessup, GA was offered by Virginia Tech and Duke.

Chesnee QB Jacob Kimbrell committed to Wofford for the 2020 class.

Greenville WR Andre Goodman committed to Appalachian State. He’s the son of former USC and NFL star corner Andre Goodman.

York WR Da’Shawn Brown was offered by Connecticut.

2022 OL Collin Sadler of Greenville was offered by West Virginia.

2022 SAF Jeadyn Lukus of Mauldin was offered by West Virginia.

6-5 Quenton Flood of Lower Richland was offered by Charleston Southern.

6-3 Joshua Beadle of Cardinal Newman was offered by Wake Forest according to John Whittle of TheBigSpur. Some of his other offers are College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, Upstate, Furman, Presbyterian, Elon, Wofford and North Carolina A&T.
