Frank Martin knew he was doing an interview on SportsTalk Friday night right in the middle of bowl season. And he was ready. With his Gamecocks coming off consecutive road wins over Clemson and Virginia and sitting at 8-4, Martin jokingly pointed out his team was bowl eligible for a sixth straight year. Getting attention for his team during football season has always been a battle Martin is willing to fight. He’s hoping Gamecock fans, with no football of their own to follow, will turn their full attention to his improving team as they play their final non-SEC game Monday afternoon at home against Stetson, then their SEC opener January 7th at home against Florida.
