The Weekend of Champions kicked off Saturday at Benedict College with the 1A and 2A title games. A huge crowd turned out for the opener that saw Saluda win its first state championship since 1963. And another good crowd was on hand for the nightcap as Green Sea-Floyds won its second straight 1A crown. The scene shifted to Williams-Brice Stadium Saturday afternoon where Dutch Fork, Chapman and Wren won state titles.
