Clemson didn’t need much from Trevor Lawrence in Saturday’s win over Charlotte (Susan Lloyd)

Clemson’s grasp on the #1 ranking in the AP and coaches polls released Sunday remains very firm, though for the first time this season some voters are feeling Georgia as the top team. The Bulldogs, coming off their win over Notre Dame, received one first place vote in each poll. Clemson, of course, dominated the voting with 62 first place votes by the coaches and 55 by the media. The remaining first place votes went to second ranked Alabama. The coaches ranked Oklahoma fourth and LSU fifth. The media voted LSU fourth and Ohio State fifth.
