PJ Hall

6-9 PJ Hall of Dorman will play in his final AAU event this weekend in Los Angeles. After that, he’ll be ready to concentrate on picking the college he will sign with in November. With that in mind, Hall plans to announce Friday his final five schools, and those will be the ones to get his five senior year official visits. He has already taken officials to Clemson and Florida.

Those two, along with USC, Virginia Tech and Tennessee have been in his focus group, but there are other offers he has considered, such as Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, Maryland, Marquette, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Georgia and Wofford.

Hall is relieved to have reached the stage of the recruiting process.

“It is amazing,” Hall said.  “I’ve thought about this my whole life.  Getting to this point is really awesome, but there is still a lot more to do.”

Hall said he has decided on the five schools but he has not notified any of its inclusion. He said coaches from each of the five scouted his games in last week’s event in Hoover, AL.

“I’m going to wait (to notify the schools) until I put it out, but of course, the ones that are in there, they have a good feel, certain confidence, they are in there,” Hall said. ” Each program has their individuality so there’s not really a common thing about them. It’s a good list.  I’m really comfortable with who I picked.”

As he whittled his list to the final five, Hall said there certain things he looked for in a school that would make his list.

“The coaching, of course,” he said. “The schemes. The offense and how I would fit in there. And them telling me their plans for me and how they would develop me.”

Hall said he will take all five of his official visits before making his decision which will come soon after his final visit.
