Frank Martin is preparing for his 8th season at USC, and it appears he will have his best roster since his Final Four team of 2017. Six veterans return, plus two others who redshirted last season, and there are five newcomers. The Gamecocks did go 11-7 in SEC play last season, but their 16-16 overall record was not good enough for post-season play. The Gamecocks have had five straight non-losing seasons under Martin.

Monday night Martin joined us on SportsTalk. We talked first about this past weekend’s NCAA sanctioned scholastic basketball event in Columbia, and then got into the meat and potatoes of his team.
