Earlier this week LB Nakobe Dean of Horn Lake, MS made stops at Clemson and Georgia. Dean is a national recruit and has Clemson among his favorites at this point and his visit there further enhanced the Tigers’ chances of landing him.
“The visit went great,” Dean said. “The people and the facilities they have are what stood out the most. They have super nice people. They are people that you could have a family cookout with.”
Dean checked out the campus and the facilities. He also had a sit-down meeting with defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Brent Venables.
“He ( basically reiterated to me how well I would fit into his system,” he said. “He also told me about how he guides players not only on the field but off the field.”
The Clemson and Georgia visits were just two of several Dean plans to make as he works on his decision.
“Yeah, the visits might give more to think about. I’ve got to think everything over,” he said.
He had planned to visit Florida State this week but had to cancel that visit. Next month he will take an official visit to Alabama and will also see Mississippi State and Texas A&M. Dean has taken multiple visits to Ole Miss and he’s also been to LSU.
Last season Dean made 147 tackles with 27 tackles for loss and 9 sacks.
