The Clemson Tigers earned a three-game road sweep of the Virginia Cavaliers, winning Sunday by a final score of 9-8 on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers received 11 hits from Logan Davidson during his five-game long stretch with the club. Davidson drove in seven on 11 hits, four doubles and two home runs.
Patrick Cromwell, Sam Hall & Chris Williams hit home runs to keep the final game out of reach.
Monte Lee discussed how the Tigers took care of business:
Davidson was part of a Tigers power surge in the sweep of Virginia and mid-week wins ove Kenessaw State and Presbyterian, with two home runs and seven RBI.
Kyle Wilkie and Chris Williams also had two home runs apiece this past week, and Hall, playing for the injured Kier Meredith, stepped up with five hits including his first career home run.
Clemson, by virtue of their sweep of the Cavaliers and North Carolina’s sweep of NC State, now holds first place in the ACC Atlantic with a two-game lead over the Wolfpack.
The Tigers do not play a mid-week game this upcoming week, but do have their final ACC home series when they face Florida State Saturday through Monday.
