LB Bryton Constantin of Baton Rouge, LA visited his backyard school Tuesday, LSU. The Tigers haven’t offered but said they would if he comes to camp this summer and works out. That’s not an issue for Constantin, however, because he’s favoring Clemson and will spend the weekend ahead with those Tigers.
Constantin said he and his entire family are headed to Clemson for the spring game. They will arrive Thursday night and depart Sunday. He also visited Clemson for a spring practice in March and the Tigers have been strong with him since.
“I talk to Coach Venables every other day, text him every day,” Constantin said. “I talk to him about how I would fit in on their defense. I realized that Clemson isn’t just football. That’s a program that’s going to build you from the ground. They are going to make you a better man. Speaking on the phone with Coach Venables and going up there for a visit made me realize how good that program overall is.”
Constantin saw a lot and learned a lot about Clemson on his first visit. This visit will be more for relaxing and relationship building.
“I’m not looking for anything in particular,” he said “I went up there and they showed me all the love that I need, showed me how much they really want me. I just want to have a good time, connect with the coaches even more. I’m going up there for two or three days and I’ll get to spend time with the players.”
This will be an unofficial visit and Constantin said he would be back for an official visit during the season. He’s also had Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, TCU and Houston on his short list but he made it clear that Clemson stands above the rest at this point.
