Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, as all coaches are in the final days of the recruiting season, is on the move. Swinney is getting his final face to face meeting with remaining targets with National Signing Day approaching on Wednesday.
Wednesday morning he met with DB Trevon Flowers of Tucker, GA before Flowers came in for his official visit. Flowers is deciding between Clemson, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Wednesday night Swinney was in Phenix City, AL for a sit down with WR Justyn Ross. Ross is down to the Tigers, Alabama and Auburn. He will announce on Wednesday around 10:00 AM on ESPN2.
Thursday Swinney was in to see DB Patrick Surtain of Plantation, FL. He took his official visit to Clemson last weekend and will visit Miami this weekend. He also has been to Ohio State, LSU and Alabama.
Thursday night Swinney is to have his in home visit with OL Richard Gouraige of Tampa. He is down to Clemson, Florida and Auburn and will take his official visit to Auburn this weekend according to his coach Bob Dare.
“He’s holding his cards,” Dare said of Gouraige. “It will be one of those three. He’s looking for the right fit with the coaching staff. I know he loved Coach Swinney and the coaching staff right from the beginning. I know he’s definitely impressed, right program at the right time.”
Gouraige has been a Florida commitment and he visited there last weekend. “He said the visit went well,” Dare said adding that Gouraige’s mom will play a role in the decision and proximity is part of the equation.
Gouraige will not reveal his choice until a school assembly on NSD set for 2:45 PM.
