Clemson hosted Alabama commitment OL Pierce Quick (6-5 285) of Trussville, AL among the underclassmen who visited last weekend. It was his second visit with the Tigers and he walked away with more to think about regarding his college future.
“The visit was great. It was great getting to see all of the coaches again,” Quick said. “The facilities really stood out to me. They are super nice. The dorms are pretty big. It was super cool to be able to run down the hill like they do before every single home game. That was cool to get to experience that.”
Quick, of course, met with offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell. He also got some one-on-one time with head coach Dabo Swinney.
“Coach Caldwell was really with us the entire visit. He walked with me and my family throughout the whole thing,” he said. “His message was really just the same thing. He feels like Clemson would be a good fit for me and I could play pretty early there. And Coach Swinney just told me that they need me there and I’m a top priority. He’s from Alabama so he knows all of the traditions behind Alabama football and all of that stuff, too.”
Quick said the Clemson visit didn’t completely shake him from his Alabama commitment and it left him a little more open as things pertain to Clemson.
“I’m still committed to Alabama and love Alabama but visiting Clemson, it was great seeing it and I’ll definitely be back,” he said.
Quick also holds offers from Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Michigan, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Oregon and others.
