OL Richard Gouraige of Tampa made an official visit to Clemson over the weekend. Gouraige has been committed to Florida since October but has been looking at other options. He also plans to take an official visit to Auburn.
Clemson target DB/WR Matthew Hill of Snellville, GA took an official visit to Auburn over the weekend. He has been committed to those Tigers, who like him as a receiver, but plans to take an official visit to Clemson, which likes him as a safety, before finalizing his plans.
Another Clemson defensive back target, Pat Surtain Jr. of Plantation, FL, visited LSU over the weekend. Clemson has been working him for a visit but nothing has been set. He’s also been to Ohio State and is also looking at Florida, Floruida State, Miami and Alabama.
DB Taiyon Palmer of Lawrenceville, GA, who was offered by Clemson last week, visited Nebraska over the weekend. He is scheduled to see NC State this weekend. NC State coaches were in to see him Friday. He’s a former Duke commitment. Sunday he was offered by Tennessee.
LB Dax Hollifield of Shelby, NC, who Clemson recently reconnected with, made his official visit to Stanford over the weekend. He also has taken official visits to USC, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Florida State. Clemson is hoping to get him in for an unofficial visit before he makes his decision.
Clemson target DB Olaijah Griffin of Mission Viejo, CA visited Southern Cal over the weekend. He has said he will take an official visit to Clemson in the next couple of weeks. Griffin is a former UCLA commitment and also has visited Tennessee. He is scheduled to visit Auburn February 2nd.
USC target OL Dylan Wonnum of Tucker, GA made his official visit to Auburn over the weekend. He is scheduled to visit USC on the 26th.
USC target DE Dennis Briggs Jr. of Kissimmee, FL made an official visit to Miami over the weekend. He also plans to visit USC, Louisville and Florida State.
And Gamecock defensive end target Rick Sandidge of Concord, NC was at Georgia over the weekend and took in the Gamecocks’ basketball win over the Bulldogs. He will visit North Carolina this weekend and USC on the 26th.
Coastal Carolina offered RB Michel Dukes of First Baptist.
USC and Clemson target QB Sam Howell was offered by Ohio State.
Clemson offered ATH Joseph Ngata of Folsom, CA. He also has offers from Oregon, Colorado, Notre Dame, Penn State, UCLA, Southern Cal, Washington and others.
PK Billy McConnell of Ft. Lauderdale made an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday.
OL Trevor Marquardt of Neenah, WI visited Clemson Saturday.
2020 QB Ryle Aguila of Pembroke Pines, FL made an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday.
2020 WR Chase Lloyd of Atlanta visited Clemson Saturday.
2021 PK/C Louie Jackson of Orlando visited Clemson Saturday.
RB Milan Howard of Charlotte committed to The Citadel.
6-7 Christian Brown of Lower Richland attended Clemson’s game against Miami Saturday.
According to 247Sports, USC was one of the schools to have a coach scouting 6-4 Anfernee Simons of IMG Academy, FL on Sunday. Simmons is one of the top players in the 2018 class and once was committed to Louisville. He decommitted after the FBI probe broke out and Frank Martin made a move to get involved. Simmons has visited Tennessee and will visit NC State February 10th. He’s also considering USC, SMU, Florida and Minnesota according to 247. Simmons said he’s also going to consider his options regarding the NBA Draft this summer.
USC target 6-4 Jermaine Couisnard of Montverde Prep, FL said he was offered by UMass. He’s taken an official to USC and has not set any other visits at this point. USC assistant coach Bruce Shingler scouted him at his game Sunday night.
USC is involved with unsigned 2018 guard 6-4 TJ Moss, a native of Memphis who attends Findlay Prep in Las Vegas. He said Memphis is the other program recruiting him that he also likes at this point.
