Clemson’s 18 turnovers were too much to overcome as the Temple Owls won the Charleston Classic Championship with a 67-60 victory on Sunday.
Those 18 turnovers led to 25 points for the Owls, as Clemson could not match the intensity playing for the third time in four days.
Shelton Mitchell led the Tigers with 16 points, Marcquise Reed had 14 and Donte Grantham added 13 before fouling out.
Head Coach Brad Brownell said the game and the tournament as a whole were a good learning experience for his team.
Clemson (4-1) will play next on the Friday after Thanksgiving at 3 PM against Texas Southern at Littlejohn Coliseum.
