Donte Grantham’s team-high 22 points led four players in double figures as the Clemson Tigers defeated the Hofstra Pride, 78-59, to advance to the Championship of the Charleston Classic.
Marcquise Reed had an odd double-double for a guard, with 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for the Tigers.
Shelton Mitchell had 13 points and Gabe DeVoe added 12, as Clemson used a 16-2 run in the middle of the second half to pull away from the Pride.
Clemson advances to the finals of the Charleston Classic for the third time, and will try to win the tournament for the second time in school history (2008).

The Tigers will face Temple, who comes in 2-0, having played its first games of the season during the tournament. The Owls, out of the American Athletic Conference, beat Old Dominion and Auburn to advance to Sunday’s 9:30 PM final.
