USC is continuing to recruiting OL Jerome Carvin of Cordova, TN and offensive line coach Eric Wolford was at his school Monday. “We really have a good relationship right now but I talk to Coach Muschamp and Coach Bentley the most.” Carvin has taken official visits to Tennessee and Mississippi State and he said his interest in the Gamecocks is strong enough that he’s considering taking an official visit with them the weekend of the Florida game. He is scheduled to visit Arkansas December 1st but said he wants to move that visit up. He’s also looking at Florida, Texas A&M and Alabama for possible visits. He said he doesn’t have a favorite.
OL Trey Hill of Warner Robins, GA has made unofficial visits for games this season to Auburn, Florida, Florida State and last weekend to Georgia. His last visit to Clemson was for the spring game but he’s planning to get back for a game this season. Hill said Dabo Swinney and Robbie Caldwell are in touch with him on average about 3-4 times a week. “I like what they’re running with the young quarterback they’ve got. If I come in I’ll have a quarterback who knows what he’s doing. Of course, you’ve got Trevor Lawrence coming in and that’s a great thing, too.” Hill said Ohio State and Southern Cal are two definite official visits and Clemson is a possible official. Along with those schools, Georgia, Auburn, Texas, Florida and Florida State are in the mix. Hill said there’s no favorite for him at this point and he plans to decide in December. He will be an early graduate.
