The Clemson Tigers will play the rest of the season without the services of two-time All-ACC kicker Greg Huegel, who tore his ACL in practice Wednesday.
In a statement from the university, Dabo Swinney explained what led to the injury:

Huegel sits eighth on Clemson’s all-time scoring list with 271 points, 21 of those coming in this year’s first three games. Huegel made a career-long, 49-yard field goal in the Tigers’ win at Louisiville.
Alex Spence, a red-shirt junior from Florence will replace Huegel as first-team kicker. Spence converted on four field goal attempts during Clemson’s closed scrimmage on August 12th, and kicked off twice for the Tigers in their win against Kent State.
