6-6 Zion Williamson of Spartanburg Day, writing in his blog for USA Today, revealed today two of the official visits he will take this fall. Williamson periodically is updating his followers on his on and off court activities and recruiting via his blog. He’s written six to this point and promises a seventh soon.
In the blog released today, Williamson wrote that he will visit Duke October 22nd and UCLA October 27th. Williamson made an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday and has been talking with USC coach Frank Martin about coming in for a football game in Columbia this season.
In home visits with Williamson were scheduled to begin today with Duke and Kentucky but both were postponed due to the weather and will be rescheduled. Kansas and North Carolina are scheduled for Tuesday, UCLA on Wednesday and USC on Thursday.
In his blog, Williamson wrote that he asked Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski how he would fit in with the two commitments he has for his 2018 class at this point.
“He started telling me his original plan for the class and how he’d already planned to get those two players and how everything is working according to his plan,” Williamson wrote. “He said that every year he changes his system with new players. He said he was gonna play me the way he played LeBron (James) in the Olympics in 2012 so I did my research! Coach K gave him the chance to showcase that he was still the best player in the world. I thought that was a real, genuine answer because Coach K is always 10 steps ahead.”
