6-6 Zion Williamson of Spartanburg Day begins the next phase of his recruiting this week with in home visits with select coaches. According to his stepfather, Duke and Kentucky will be in on Monday, Kansas and North Carolina on Tuesday, UCLA on Wednesday and USC on Thursday. His official visits will come from these in home meetings. Williamson spent Saturday at Clemson on an unofficial visit primarily for the football game. One of the other top prospects with him on an unofficial visit was 6-2 Devon Dotson of Charlotte.
6-7 Jalen Slawson of Pinewood Prep committed to Furman according to PhenomHoops.
6-7 Landers Nolley of Fairburn, GA announced a final eight of Florida State, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, NC State and Virginia Tech. Clemson was one of the other schools he was considering.
USC women offered 2019 5-10 Danae McNeal of Swansea.
LB Channing Tindall will not make a college decision this month as he had hoped. Part of his plan was to announce a final two on Sunday and take those official visits before deciding. But he announced on Twitter that with Florida and Florida State on his short list, and with those schools dealing with Hurricane Irma, he couldn’t allow himself to focus on football while people at those schools were dealing with the storm. Tindall also has USC and Georgia on his short list.
DL Rick Sandidge of Concord, NC took made an unofficial visit to North Carolina over the weekend and told the Tar Heel 247 site he will visit USC unofficially this weekend, but like he did with UNC, he will treat it as an official visit staying overnight Saturday.
Clemson target OL Jamaree Salyer of Atlanta was scheduled to visit Notre Dame officially over the weekend but he canceled that visit at the last minute.
TE Elijah McAllister of Rumson, NJ said he will visit USC unofficially this week for the Kentucky game. He has not yet been offered by the Gamecocks and is under evaluation for one.
Former USC commitment WR Stephen Guidry of Hinds JC, MS committed to Mississippi State.
Clemson offered 2019 WR Jadon Haselwood of Ellenwood, GA, a Georgia commitment. He visited Saturday.
