The post Deshaun Watson era at Clemson officially begins Saturday afternoon when Kelly Bryant trots out with the offense for the first snap against Kent State. Like every school, Clemson has had to replace great players over the years. But seldom have the Tigers been faced with replacing a player the magnitude of Watson, arguably the greatest in the program’s history. At his press conference Tuesday previewing the Kent State game, Dabo Swinney expressed full confidence in Bryant and can’t wait for the fans to see what he has seen dating back to January.

More notes from Swinney’s presser:
- Team is healthy, TE Garrett Williams is getting healthy and could return soon from his knee injury, SAF Denzel Johnson is doubtful with a pectoral muscle injury.
- Kent State QB is very tough, they like to get the ball on the perimeter, they have good speed, top RB is dangerous.
- This will be one of the better secondaries they will see all season, that is their strength, lot of man coverage.
- All four running backs can play, and the backups at quarterback are also good, multiple guys they can win with it.
