Clemson does not yet have a running back in the 2018 class and that situation did not change Thursday morning when Asa Martin of Decatur, AL announced a commitment to Auburn. He also had Alabama on his short list. However, Martin has said he still plans to visit all three schools during the season.
USC had hopes of adding another top Georgia prospect to its 2018 class Thursday night in DB Jaycee Horn of Alpharetta. But Horn committed to Tennessee. He also considered Alabama. USC led for Horn in May but he visited Tennessee June 17th and from that point forward the Vols were a major force with him. It is still possible he will take other official visits in the fall.
Clemson offered 2019 DB Jaylin Simpson of St. Simons Island, GA. He also has a USC offer.
