Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney came away more pleased Wednesday about his team’s work in what he called a situational scrimmage at Memorial Stadium.
Swinney says the team still took its lumps, but overall responded well off of a Tuesday practice that lacked sharpness throughout. When asked about the quarterback rotation, Swinney stated Kelly Bryant only took first-team snaps at quarterback, with Zerrick Cooper also earning a few. Hunter Johnson’s snaps were limited to second team work.

Swinney also told ESPN in a later interview with Paul Finebaum that Kelly Bryant “would start today if we played”.
