The South Carolina Gamecocks defensive line, which has been a position of strength in the past, is still forming its base as USC approaches its first scrimmage.
USC projects to start three seniors on the defensive line, but they’re limited in game experience. The Gamecocks return just 8.5 sacks from a year ago, two of which come from Bryson Allen-Williams.
One problem that will not help the unit is the absence Shameik Blackshear, who is sidelined with a concussion.
