6-7 Hunter Tyson of Monroe, NC originally planned to take an official visit to Clemson last weekend. But with the Tigers practicing and packing up for their ten day trip to Spain, that visit was put on hold until the Tigers return. Tyson said he’s highly interested in the Tigers and has held an offer from Brad Brownell since last July.
“They’ve believed in me since I was a lot younger and started recruiting me a good amount in the spring of last year,” Tyson said. “They love how I’m a versatile player and think I can make an impact on their program and get Clemson in the tournament. I really enjoy when I talk to the coaching staff. They have an excellent coaching staff and I like the program. I’m definitely considering them.”
Tyson said Davidson, and Michigan are two other programs which are recruiting him hard at this point. He does not have a favorite at this point.
Last season Tyson averaged 27 points and 10 rebounds per game.
“Really can shoot it, put it on the floor and a good rebounder,” Tyson said is the evaluation he hears from coaches. He also has reported offers from Tennessee, Wake Forest, Charlotte and Elon.
