Seven early commitments for Clemson sign financial aid agreements the school announced. The seven are DL Josh Belk, QB Trevor Lawrence, TE Braden Galloway, DL Darnell Jefferies, LB Mike Jones Jr., WR Derion Kendrick and DE Xavier Thomas. All seven plan to enroll in January. The signed FAA binds the school to the player but not vice versa. It also allows the coaches at the school to comment publicly about the player.
USC is in the top seven with 6-7 Jericole Hellems of St. Louis. The others on his short list are NC State, Missouri, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Florida. He was a standout at the Peach Jam AAU event in North Augusta last month averaging over 28 points per game. He averaged 24 points per game in high school as a junior.
USC is scheduled to host for an official visit this weekend 6-3 Randy Onwuasor, a grad transfer from Southern Utah who was fifth in the country in scoring last season. He was scheduled to visit Gonzaga Tuesday and is also scheduled to visit LSU August 8th.
6-7 Hunter Tyson of Monroe, NC will take an official visit to Clemson this weekend according to TigerIllustrated. He’s an AAU teammate of Clemson commitment John Newman who also has offers from Michigan, Tennessee and Wake Forest.
