There’s a new sheriff in town for the the College of Charleston baseball team.
Newly named coach Chad Holbrook said it’s been a busy whirlwind since he was introduced on Friday but he believes that the Cougars should expect to contend with the top programs in the state, namely USC and Clemson. Holbrook said that he will lean on past experience with the Gamecocks and won’t back down in recruiting circles just because those programs want a player. To speed the transition from a mid-major team into a national contender Holbrook says he plans to schedule ACC and SEC teams early and often to expose his kids to top ranked talent.
