DB Israel Mukuama of Berkeley and Bossier City, LA Monday morning announced a commitment to Florida State over USC. Mukuama made the announcement at Berkeley High School. Mukuama first put on a Gamecock cap then tossed it back on the table before picking up the Seminole cap and starting a tomahawk chop. “I mean, the Florida State system is great. They play a lot of DB’s at once and most of them are tall and long, just like me, and they have been able to develop those big, long guys, so I felt like it was best for me because they will be able develop me as well.” Mukuama also had Oklahoma State and Indiana on his short list. And Mukuama knows he probably ticked off Gamecock fans, not just with his decision but with how he did it. ” I probably did,” he said. “But if they were in my shoes and knew the details to it, they would have done the same thing.” He said his action was his reaction to the Gamecocks dropping off him for an extended period after he moved to Louisiana. Mukuama said he if Florida State allows, he still might take other official visits in the fall. “I haven’t decided all that yet because I want to see who will really still push for me.”
