Clemson hopes to come away Friday with a highly desired cornerback in Kyler McMichael of Roswell, GA. The Tigers also are in pursuit of another Atlanta area defensive back in safety Quindarious Monday. He camped with the Tigers earlier in the month and picked up an offer from them at that time, and the Tigers are one of the top teams on his list at this point.
“They interacted with me well and they said they see me coming in and starting because they hadn’t gotten any safeties in two years,” Monday said. “If I commit I’ll be the first one in two years. I can play safety and corner, it depends on how my work ethic is if I come there. I love what they do because their safeties get to do a lot of moving around. And they are versatile and can play corner and safety.”
Monday said he is going to Auburn and Florida State in July and he is returning to Clemson for the All-In Cookout July 21st. He’s also looking at Tennessee, Georgia, Michigan and Florida. He does not have a favorite at this point.
Monday said he is graduating early so it’s possible he’ll make his decision before his season. Last season he had 78 tackles and 5 interceptions.
