WR Jatavious Harris of Milledgeville, GA favored USC in early April and was getting a lot of attention then from receivers coach Bryan McClendon. But Harris took a visit to Tennessee later in the month for the spring game and committed to the Vols. That commitment remains in place, but Harris said McClendon hasn’t given up the fight and the two are in regular contact.
“The day that I committed, Coach McClendon came out to my school and he got word to me that he was going to stay in touch with me until I tell him to leave me alone,” Harris said. “He’s telling me I can come in, make a huge impact and all that stuff. I’m looking at other places still. I plan on getting up to Louisville, South Carolina and Florida. It’s all about communication and where I feel best.”
Harris said following the Vols at the top of his list is USC. He does not yet have a date for his visit with the Gamecocks.
