Clemson basketball coach Brad Brownell has hit the transfer market with ferocity in in attempting to build up the talent level of his team. Friday he landed another player on the rebound in 6-9 grad transfer Mark Donnal of Michigan according to news reports by Michigan media and national basketball reporters.
Donnal picked the Tigers over Vanderbilt and Creighton. As a reserve last season, he averaged 4 points and 12 minutes per game. Donnal earned the starting job at center with the Wolverines in 2015-16 and but lost the job last season to Moe Wagner. The scouting report on him is a banger on the boards who can step outside and knock down the three point shot.
The addition of Donnal will give Brownell five players who transferred to his program other D1 schools. He will join David Skara (Valparaiso), Marcquise Reed (Robert Morris), Shelton Mitchell (Vanderbilt) and Eli Thomas (Texas A&M).
Donnal completes the 13 man scholarship roster for the Tigers. Rising senior forward Donte Grantham has put his name into the NBA Draft but has not retained an agent and is not expected to leave his name in.
