Clemson will hold its spring game Saturday and the Tigers are expecting a small but highly recruited group of 2018 prospects to attend. Expected to be in the crowd are DE Xavier Thomas, RB Zamir White, DB Leon O’Neal DL Darnell Jefferies and others.
This will mark Jefferies fourth trip to Clemson and he and the Tigers continue to grow closer.
“I’d be a great fit with them because I fit their defensive scheme very well,” Jefferies said. “This year coming up they are going to lose two seniors on the defensive line.”
Jefferies also is a USC target and he visited this spring to watch a practice. He also remains in touch with the Gamecocks.
“I’ve been texting Coach Lance (Thompson) and Coach Muschamp,” he said. “I saw Coach Muschamp at the Under Armour All-American Classic.”
Jefferies will visit Georgia April 29th and he’s also looking at Louisville, Kentucky and Auburn for upcoming visits. He does not have any favorites at this point and considers them all equal, and he feels they are all recruiting him the same.
Clemson also will have several of its 2017 signees and 2018 commitments in for the game as well as prospects from the 2019 and 2020 classes.
