Clemson easily dispatches S.C. State
Jaron Blossomgame’s season high 29 points paced a surging Clemson squad in a 93-65 win over S.C. State. The Tigers have won five straight since a rough tournament in Orlando last month. Blossomgame was one of four players that scored double-digits; Shelton Mitchell had 14, Donte Grantham 13 and Avry Holmes 10. Clemson committed just two turnovers in the game.
Clemson will hit the road for a game at Alabama on December 18th. Next week they have a road game at rival South Carolina on the 21st.
Presbyterian no match for USC Upstate
Upstate didn’t leave anything to doubt in 76-48 win over PC. Senior forward Josh Cuthbertson led the Spartans with 22 points. Darius Moore scored 14 in the losing effort for the Blue Hose. The Spartans are 7-5 this season; PC is 3-6, with all six losses coming away from home.
Charleston Southern loses high scoring game with VMI
VMI is known for high scoring games and the Keydets put 88 on the board against Charleston Southern. The Bucs hung close, but came up short in the 88-83 road loss. The win snapped a six game losing streak for VMI and dropped CSU to 4-5. Armel Potter led the Bucs with 22 points.
