One of the hot button subjects post USC-Clemson were the claims by three Gamecock players of a racial slur or slurs hurled in their direction by a Clemson player or players and/or fans. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney and athletic director Dan Radakovich addressed the matter last week.
Swinney said he talked with his players about it and was told it didn’t happen and he said he believed them. Radakovich said he discussed the issue with Swinney and USC athletics director Ray Tanner and believed the matter was closed. Tanner confirmed he talked with Radakovich but did not say if he felt the matter was closed.
Sunday, during his bowl press conference, USC head coach Will Muschamp addressed the issue for the first time publicly.
