Clemson inched up a spot to 3rd in this week’s AP college football poll released Sunday afternoon. The Tigers are 7-0 coming off their bye week and trail Alabama and Michigan in the ranking. The Wolverines moved up one place after Ohio State’s loss to Penn State dropped the Buckeyes from second to sixth. Rounding out the top four is Washington which was fifth last week.
Louisville continued to move back up in the ranking since the Clemson loss by blowing out NC State Saturday. The Cardinals are now fifth.
Rounding out the top 10 are Ohio State, Nebraska, Baylor, Texas A&M and West Virginia.
Florida State, Clemson’s opponent this Saturday, is ranked 12th following an open week, and USC’s next opponent, Tennessee, is ranked 18th after a bye week.
Colorado, Penn State and Virginia Tech are new to the ranking this week and hold down spots 23-25.
