After ten straight days of practice, the USC football team got a break from on the field activities Friday. There were still meetings to attend but Will Muschamp gave his guys a day to rest up for the important scrimmage inside Williams-Brice Saturday Saturday that is closed to the public and the media.
Muschamp said the scrimmage will have some semblance of a game like scenario including a halftime break so the players can experience what that will be like under him. But they also will work on special situations such as goal line and coming off the goal line.
Friday morning Muschamp, co-offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon and specials teams coordinator and linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler met with the media to update team matters and preview the scrimmage.
A reminder, there will be no media availability after the scrimmage. Muschamp will review it on a Sunday afternoon conference all at 2:00 PM that will be posted here.
