Frank Martin has another big name non-conference game lined up for next season. USC and Michigan will square off at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on Wednesday November 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving. This will be the first time the two teams have played since the 2006 NIT title game at Madison Square Garden. The Gamecocks won that match up 76-64 for their second straight NIT championship.
Last season Michigan finished 23-13 and was 10-8 in Big 10 play. The Wolverines were 4-6 in road games. They advanced to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament, beating Tulsa and losing to Notre Dame. According to Michigan, this deal includes USC playing at game at Michigan in the future.
USC has not released it’s full non-conference slate. Along with Michigan, a game with Syracuse in Brooklyn and the annual rivalry game with Clemson are among the known highlights.
