DB Hamsah Nasirildeen of Concord, NC is highly coveted by many schools but none more than USC and Clemson who see the 6-4 Nasirildeen as a tall, rangy safety who can cover a lot of ground in the back end of the secondary. He visited USC for a junior day and a spring practice and he also was at Clemson for a spring practice. He plans to see both again this summer.
Nasirildeen said USC secondary coach Travaris Robinson contacts him regularly and the message is there’s a spot waiting for him with the Gamecocks.
“Early in my career he just let me know that they have a need for free safeties of my type and that they want me,” he said.
Nasirildeen said he’s getting a similar message from Clemson secondary coach Mike Reed.
“He just let me know that after this year they are really going to need more safeties and they like big guys,” he said.
Nasirildeen has narrowed his list to USC, Clemson, Alabama, Florida and Florida State. He is scheduled to camp at Alabama July 17th and plans to visit the others this summer. He also plans to visit Georgia, Notre Dame, Penn State and Virginia Tech. He visited Georgia, Florida and Alabama in the spring.
He feels Florida and USC have been recruiting him the hardest but he’s not claiming any favorites.
